About Us

SER-AMTA

Who We Are

Here to Serve.

The Southeast Region Chapter of the American Music Therapy Association (SER-AMTA) as we now know, came to be in January 2005, when the South Central Region merged with the Southeastern Region. It is home to music therapists from 12 states and territories, including Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansa, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

SER-AMTA is proud to be home to 19 college and university programs and 35 National Roster Internship sites. We strive to support our membership through service, advocacy, and educational opportunities. We aim to advance awareness of the benefits of music therapy and increase access to music therapy services.
